PAC-12 impresses at the Grand Finals of the NCAA Championship for Crew this weekend

Crew doesn't get nearly enough love for such an intense, difficult sport, and they did spectacularly well at the NCAA Championships this weekend. Don't worry, we'll be back to football on Thursday :)

Sixteen teams arrived in New Jersey for the Division I collegiate crew championships. Five of them were from the PAC 12. UCLA, Southern California, Berkeley, Washington and Stanford all competed against other crew teams of different conferences for the right to call themselves the best women's crew team, several actually sending all three boats. None of the PAC 12 teams were the national champions - that went to the Virginia Cavaliers - but the PAC 12 took respectable places.

1st - Virginia
2nd - Michigan
3rd - Berkeley
4th - Princeton
5th - Ohio State
6th - Southern California
7th - Washington
8th - UCLA
9th - Stanford
10th - Yale
11th - Wisconsin
12th - Harvard
15th - Cornell
14th - Brown
15th - Notre Dame
16th - Michigan State

Most of the PAC 12 schools in attendance this year usually makes it to the championships, so we'll be back cheering for the PAC 12 schools next spring for sure.

Although the competition ended Sunday, you can still check out the final scores here, which covers every heat of every race.
