Stadium Spotlight: Cal Memorial Stadium Student Section
The Cal Memorial Stadium, debuted in 1941, is home to the Cal Bears football team. Oski the Bear, the Cal Bears mascot, is responsible for riling up the Cal Memorial Stadium student section during the games. The Cal Memorial Stadium student section can get really rowdy and is always an exciting area to be in during a Cal Bears football game. The Cal Memorial student section is frequently a sea of blue and gold. Have you made it out to a game?!
The University of California marching band is also at every home football game and greatly adds to the roar coming from the Cal Memorial student section. Card Stunts, the Cal football tradition otherwise known as bleacher stunts, were invented by the Cal students during the 1910 Big Game. This tradition continues today in the Cal Memorial student section and is really fun to watch.
