Andrew Luck is number one over-all pick for NFL

Although Andrew Luck's final college football season is over, he hasn't earned a break just yet. Luck, Stanford's former quarterback, was the first over-all pick in this season's NFL draft. Luck has previously been nominated for major awards, including the 2011 Heisman Trophy, and is currently a favorite for the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, but hasn't won any awards.
So why did the Indianapolis Colts choose him, not only as their first pick, but the first pick of the season? After a rather unfortunate season last year, the Colts ended their contract with their quarterback, Peyton Manning, so clearly they needed a new one. Why Luck? I don't know, but we're sure to see why in September, when the Colts will play the Chicago Bears.
