Former Arizona State Receiever Kerry Taylor Tweets that Erickson Should be Fired

Kerry Taylor, Arizona State's leading receiver tweeted this on Sunday:

"Just did an interview about the problems of ASU football and why Dennis Erickson is NOT the right man for the job."

He went on to say:

"I want ASU to win Pac12 Championships, all us ASU fans do. But in order for that to happen we need a new Head Coach. That's all I'm saying."

This report above is from ESPN.com

Here are my thoughts on this. First things first, Taylor did not need to tweet this. This does more to hurt their football program than it does to help it. He did the right thing by meeting with Athletic Directors, but taking it public gives the school bad publicity. Secondly, I think he's right. I go to the University of Oregon and I was really worried to play Arizona State. They have a really talented team and I really thought we could have been upset. Thankfully, they made so many stupid mistakes that the Ducks were able to prevail. This team had more penalties than any other team in the Pac 10 last year and was a very talented team. Dennis Erickson might be just too old for this job.

Where Did All the Pac 12 Players Get Drafted??

Derrick Williams: 2nd overall to the Minnesota Timberwolves. I'm not so sure how well he fits in on this team, but as a Timberwolves fan, I'm pumped! He's immediately the second or third best player on the team and figures to score a lot of points for them for years to come.

Klay Thompson: 11th overall to the Golden State Warriors. The sweet shooting guard out of Washington State fills the guard position opposite of Steph Curry for years to come. That is going to be the deadliest 1-2 punch from 3 point range and will keep defenses honest. Plus he gets to play for Mark Jackson "woah mamma there goes that man!"

Nicola Vucevic: 16th overall to the Philadelphia 76ers. They already have Spencer Hawes, but I think that will make more a nice transition for Vucevic. He can learn from Hawes until he is ready for a starting spot

Tyler Honeycutt: 35th overall to the Sacramento Kings. I'm not so sure how well he fits on this team. They're pretty loaded on the wings with John Salmons, Marcus Thornton, Jimmer, and Tyreke Evans. Probably picked him because he can defend multiple positions.

Malcolm Lee (shown above): 43rd overall to the Minnesota Timberwolves. Another T Puppy! He was picked because he is a lockdown defender and can do that at the very least for the Wolves. Anything he provides offensively will be seen as a plus to the them

Other Pac 12 Players Who Are Expected to be Drafted Tonight

While Derrick Williams is the main event in terms of Pac 12 players in tonight's draft, there are a number of other really high quality players who are expected to get drafted to night. Here are some of the other players that will be drafted out of the Pac 12:

Klay Thompson: 6-6 Shooting guard who has pretty much the ideal size for the position. A terrific three point shooter he shot above 40% during his career at Washington State.

Nicola Vucevic: He's a legitimate 7 footer who could be a really good center in the NBA. He's get a nice jump shot and he averaged 10 rebounds at USC.

Tyler Honeycutt: A versatile forward who is 6-8. Should be a pretty good rotation player in the NBA. Has a nice jump shot and is a good defender. Had a sub par year at UCLA, but so does everyone.

Malcolm Lee: 6-6 Guard out of UCLA. Will be a rotation player at best, but has a shot because he is a very good defender.

Expect Arizona's Derrick Williams to be a High Draft Pick in Tonight's Draft

Former Arizona Forward Derrick Williams is one of the most sought after prospects in tonight's draft. Don't expect him to get drafted anywhere but at number 2, he's clearly one of the two best players in this draft. Cleveland is expected to draft Duke's Kyrie Irving, which means Derrick Williams should go 2. However, the team drafting second is the Minnesota Timberwolves, a completely dysfunctional organization. Don't be surprised if they trade this pick or pick Enes Kanter. Derrick Williams doesn't fit in well for them because he does a lot of the same things as Michael Beasely. The Wolves could draft him and trade him to any number of teams.

Here are what I think his prospects as a pro are. I think he can be a very good stretch 4 in the NBA. He's an explosive athlete whose a really good shooter. The guy shot over 50% from three this year and has a reliable mid range game. Who knows where he'll play on defense but he's athletic enough and works hard enough to figure it out. He should be at least a fringe All Star and possibly make a couple of All Star teams.

Oregon Ducks' Cliff Harris Suspended Indefinitely

After being cited for driving with a suspended license after being caught speeding at 118mph, the Oregon Ducks have suspended Cliff Harris indefinitely. Coach Chip Kelly said in a statement released Wednesday that Harris will be suspended for at least the season opener September4th against the LSU Tigers in Cowboy Stadium. Kelly said that Harris can reduce his suspension by adhering to the rules of the football team, but that he will definitely miss the season opener.

"Cliff's future clearly is in Cliff's hands," Kelly said. "Earning an opportunity to represent the University of Oregon and this football program certainly rests far beyond a player's ability on the field of play. Our behavior out of the spotlight often is more important and will be held to a higher standard. Until Cliff is able to conform to the same standards all of us must comply with, his status will remain unchanged." (ESPN)

This is a huge blow for the Ducks. In order to beat a very talented LSU teams, they need all their big weapons. It's a virtual home game considering how close Louisiana is to Texas compared to how close Oregon is. I still think the Ducks have a really good shot at winning this game, but they really could have used the playmaking ability of Harris.

Oregon Ducks' Cliff Harris Speeding at 118 MPH

Oh no. Cliff Harris was caught early Monday morning for driving over 100 mph. The police officer clocked him at 118 mph. To top it off, he had been driving on a suspended license. More details keep coming out about this story. Now we're learning that the car he drove was being paid for by a University of Oregon employee. It was a rental car, and Harris did offer her a check worth the amount she had paid to rent the car. This woman claims that the friend he was with showed her his license. There were two other members of the football team in the car as well.

Here's the thing. We see stuff like this all the time and it's terrible. Cliff Harris is an idiot for taking someone's car and even more of an idiot for driving with suspense. Not to mention he is even a BIGGER idiot because he was driving 118 mph. Here's a guy who is one year away from the NFL, but struggles to stay out of trouble. The more trouble he gets, the worse his NFL draft stock will be. If I were him, I would eat, sleep, and breathe football and schoolwork. Stay out of trouble Cliff, the Ducks need you. Expect head coach Chip Kelly to suspend Harris for at least the first game. This will be huge considering the Ducks' first game is against the LSU Tigers.
